About Tanya
Hi, I’m Tanya and I love connecting children and people of all ages with animals and nature! Just by being in nature can be extremely therapeutic and is also known to improve our mental and/or physical health.
Spending time with me can involve a wide range of fun nature-based activities and experiences including nature exploration and nature play. I work closely with you or the participant’s goals and personal interests to develop social skills, emotional regulation and communication skills.
Some examples of experiences and activities I offer can include sensory walks, pebble art and nature craft making, patting and feeding farm animals, gardening and planting vegetables, taking a donkey for a walk, rock hopping and exploring terrain, mindfulness and meditation, grounding and animal breathing techniques, collecting chicken eggs, cooking and baking, campfire cooking, milking a cow, collecting firewood, helping with farm chores, or learning about sustainability and permaculture.
I intuitively support children, youth or people with special needs by helping them feel safe, empowered and to be their authentic self in a natural and peaceful environment. I allow them to be guided by their own curiosity where they’ll learn basic skills through play and discovery, risk-taking, collaboration and using intuition.
In addition to farm visits at Pleasant Sense Farm near Mt Pleasant, I can also meet you in your own environment
